Fotis Theodorakopoulos

I was born and raised in Pyrgos, located in the prefecture of Ilia, a town near the port of Katakolo. I am 37 years old and I speak 2 languages, very good English and a few Italian.

I have been working as a taxi driver for the last 16 years in our family business. In recent years I have been working in the tourist industry offering my services to visitors arriving at Katakolo's harbor.

My goal is to offer you a high quality customer service. Private excursions are what you need to avoid the chaos of tourist groups and group tours.

I want you and your families to feel the Greek hospitality.

It would be my honor to accompany you to ancient Olympia and the surrounding areas.

My vehicle is a mercedes e class w212 +1mini van mercedes 9-seater / 1mini bus -18-seater.

I wish you the best and I hope to fulfill your every wish.

With friendly greetings,

Fotis Theodorakopoulos.

Olympia Tour – Half Day

HALF DAY TOUR: 4-4.5 hours

a) Tour to ancient Olympia’s archaeological site and Olympia’s museum.

The magic the stadium emits is mysterious and unique. The Olympic games which is the most important sport event in our days, was born in Ancient Olympia and first took place in this stadium in 776 B.C and is one of the most impressive archaeological sites on earth.

Close to the archaeological site is the museum of Ancient Olympia! It is about 5 minute by feet. It’s collection of exhibits includes the sculpture decoration of the temple of Zeus which is one of the 7 miracles of ancient world.

 b) Klio’s Honey Farm

In the town of Olympia you can find the farm of Klio. You will taste the fresh and pure products of her farm and you will eat traditional sweets made by Klio and her mother.

c) Monastery of Virgin Mary (Panagia Kremastis)

The imposing Holy Monastery of Panayia Kremasti stands on the steep cliff with the magnificent view of the forest of Foloi and the mountain of Erymanthos.

d) St. Andreas beach

St.Andreas beach is 2km away from Katakolo and it is one of the most beautiful beaches for your summer holidays. It combines mountains and sea in a unique way, while its crystal clear water is perfect for swimming.

He responded promptly to my messages and patiently waited for us when we left the cruise ship. The vehicle is clean and comfortable. He took us first to Olympia so we can avoid the crowds. He had flexibility with our plans for the day. We took the guided tour that included snacks. Afterwards we went to the honey farm, which was very interesting (and delicious). We decided not to go to the monastery in order to spend more time in other places. Fotis gave us a guide to Olympia and had cold water bottles for us all day. You will not be disappointed!

We booked Fotis's services over the Internet, booking was very easy and without any down payment. He waited in the harbor as soon as the ship arrived. He was very experienced and helpful and stopped exactly where we wanted to stop. He gave us bottles of cold water and tourist guides to look at. I would definitely recommend his services. Thanks again Fotis.
